MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Christine Amour-Levar's (Global FWN100™ '16) Women On A Mission (WOAM) team has successfully completed the epic crossing of the Dasht-e Lut desert of Iran and safely arrived at the oasis village of Keshit late last night.
Report from Christine: WOAM are now driving to the town of Kerman, a UNESCO world heritage site, before heading back to Tehran. WOAM are all well, tired but ecstatic, having completed 203km in 7 days. WOAM faced tough conditions on the mixed sandy terrain and large, towering dunes! They averaged 25 to 35km a day, sore all over and in serious need of showers. More pictures of this beautiful and incredible journey once they have thoroughly de-sanded and settled back home!
