U.S. Department of Justice Grants to Support Services for Victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence and Reduce Sexual Violence on Campus
The Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice have launched two program grants that create opportunities for culturally specific community-based organizations to address the critical needs of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking victims. The Campus Program encourages a comprehensive coordinated community approach that enhances victim safety, provides services for victims and supports efforts to hold offenders accountable. California State Board of Equalization Member Fiona Ma Honors Marily Mondejar with the first SHEro Equalizer Award

California State Board of Equalization (SBOE) Member Fiona Ma, celebrated the close of October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness month, by presenting her first SHEro Equalizer Award to FWN CEO & Founder, Marily Mondejar. This award is given to an individual who exemplifies the dedication and drive of a fearless female leader. Their role as an “equalizer” is to be a tireless advocate for issues and causes to further expand women’s rights.
