Lirio Sobrevinas-Covey, Ph.D. (U.S. FWN100™ 2013) Publishes “Growing Up with Autism: Journeys of Love, Devotion, and Hope”

A collection of narratives entitled "Growing Up with Autism: Journeys of Love, Devotion, and Hope", edited by Lirio Sobrevinas- Covey, Ph.D. (U.S. FWN100™ 2013), was launched on October 22, 2016 at the Ateneo Law School in Makati. The book launch was held in conjunction with the 5th Annual Symposium organized by the Association for Adults with Autism Philippines (AAAP).

Lirio is the founder and president of AAAP and is Professor of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY.

Among the dignitaries who came and spoke lovingly of Alice at her funeral this past Monday were former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom and US Rep. Anna Eshoo. They joined virtually every Filipino American elected official in the San Francisco Bay Area to pay their final respects to the one San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee called “the Grand Dame of Filipino American Politics”.
